I don't diss Axl, simply because of how much he worships Queen. I laugh when I hear about all the guitarists going into the studios with him to jam, and coming out bitching that nothing pleases him. The one who didn't was Brian. He said that Axl was fine with everything. No shit, I would imagine.

Brian is a gentleman 90% of the time and probably wouldn't air his complaints about Axl in public if he had any.

And the concert was amazing. Second time seeing them and knocked me out. Paul ROdgers was the right man for the job. Which is not to say there might not have been other singers who would also have been right too, but Paul really stepped in and stepped up and got the job more than done. I'll be sad if they don't come back next year, but even if they don't, I feel incredibly lucky to have been a witness to something that, even 5 years ago, seemed about as likely as Elvis or Hendrix going back on the road. Whoever complimented Brian, Roger and Paul on the size of their testicles was exactly right. Doing what they did was risky and took great big balls, and they not only pulled it off, but pulled it off in style and with a ton of class.
Blow it out your ass.

What was the Hollywood VIP like? What did you see backstage?

I don't think it took balls, it took brains. B and R were smart enough to not compromise the band's integrity by trying to re-live the past. They went on with their careers and when a grand opportunity was presented for them to revive Queen with a new twist, they took it.

There are a few singers(George Michael for instance) out there that could fit in for Freddie more accurately than Paul, but that's not what they were looking for. With PR, they have made their music fresh and new and brought it back with the help of Free and Bad Company's legacy.

What amazes me the most is that when I compare this show with other Queen shows, it actually holds it's own. PR is no Freddie, not by a longshot. But it's so cool to see a well thought out, theatricaly sound show with lots of Brian, lots of Roger, and tracks like 'I Want It All' and 'These Are The Days of Our Lives' included.

Bravo Queen!

Let's hope they decide to come back.

They would be crazy not to! :)

Oh yeah, as for the slow 'Bo Rhap' reaction, my theory is that people were thinking, "Umm... I can't remember... Ummm..... Oh yeah, I got it! The song from 'Waynes World'."

Funnily enough, there’s way more topics about the Paul Rodgers era than the Adam Lambert era.

Probably two reasons...

1. There was a lot more active users on the site back then - it was fourteen years ago.

2. People are worried about posting positive or interactive topics about Q+AL in case haters (including yourself) slag them off.

That was the greatest concert I have ever been to. My wife was actually jumping out of her seat and screaming uncontrollably.

I am a new Queen fan. Can someone tell me why the fourth member of Queen doesn't tour? Or did I miss something? [/QUOTE]

That didn’t last long.

3) Brian and Roger had just gotten back together - it was a very exciting time.

Now we're spoiled, as they've been playing together for 15 years now.

All discussions are in real time on twitter and Instagram nowadays.
Facebook fan clubs are good for sharing photographs and videos from the shows and for discussions as well.
This site is overrun by trolls, so not many fans (if any at all) would want to share their experience here.

There are so many posts on twitter at the moment from the current show at the Adelaide Oval Stadium, several a minute.
