Better Tour...1982 or 1986?

Hey guys!!!!!! What tour do you think was better?: The Hot Space Tour or The Magic Tour. Take care and have a wonderful day!!!!!!!!!

Without a doubt thats way better...

Difficult one!

... both Berlin gigs were Open-Air shows... 1986 was a little bit warmer temperature wise as it was a late June date... both shows finished with GSTQ... they stayed at the same hotel in 1982 and 1986... Berlin still was surrounded by the wall in both of those years... Fred was still alive & rocking in ´82 and in ´86... though he missed to take the same PanAm flight to Munich in 1986 as the rest of the group... but anyway...

... it´s got to be a tie in my opinion! ;-)

PS: Ok... judging those concerts by the amount of mosquitos at the venue... ...advantage 1982! :-)

Magic tour is better,no question hehe,because everything is great espically the interviews!

In my view Hot Space is a well underated album its well good! id say hot space my self i think freddie sings better during them concerts!

Magic was commercially their biggest tour, and their stage presentation was fantastic. They had totally focused on the visual aspects of their show. By this point, Freddie had perfected his abilities of being an incredible entertainer. However, musically, they took few chances.

The April Hot Space setlist rocked. Liar, Somebody To Love, Get Down Make Love, Back Chat... And they experimented quite a lot with the order of songs in April, and finally found one they were happy with by May - but then they dropped Liar. Freddie's voice was in much better shape in early 82 than in most 86 shows as well.

The US and Japanese shows were mostly average shows, and by the end, they were so sick of touring and of each other that their performances were just mediocre.

So it all depends on what one feels makes a great show. The songs, the visuals, the number of people attending, etc.

But if I had to choose, I'd say Hot Space.

If you mean Houston 77 check ebay. THey're all over the place now. My dvd should be in shortly. And to answer the question to the topic. I think the '82 tour was better. Lots of energy during those shows.

Even Freddie himself wasn't sure in '86, as he said, "This is the start of our American -- no, European tour!"

Silly Freddie.

Freddie's voice was much much better during '82. Probably the best his voice ever sounded live on a consistent basis. I would probably prefer the setlist of '86.
