So what if they were.
im surprised no one has mentioned when queen toured south africa in the early 80´s.
This was during the height of the apartheid regime. the band openley ignored that South Africa was under a total boycott because of the regimes racist laws and its violent politics against the black majority. Confronted with this the band stated that "We´ve got to take care of our business we cant let it be affected by politics"
I'm surprised people here haven't realised this topic was a joke.

And I just dont see Freddie being racist, lol...but off the subject...I used to work with this man who was a manager @ OLD NAVY CLOTHING STORE here in Milwaukee was GAY and he made a very racist comment to me one time about "picking cotton..." So,just because a person might happen to be homosexual, that doesnt mean that they can't be prejudice or ignorant...but I just find it impossible to see Freddie being that way, it seems like he was a very open-minded person...but while they were and still are good artist, None of us knew or know them personally, so who knows....
Te guy who made the comment was he old or young. Did you report him?

Yes I did...he told his boss that it was just a joke...but me and him never talked again, and I really didnt care if I didnt talk to anymore, cause that was very rude...and the way he carried himself, you would have never expected it...he carried a purse for crying outloud...the reason why he asked me about the cotton thing: I was going out of town in a couple of weeks, and I was telling him I was going down south to visit some relatives...(FYI: a lot of afro-americans in the states have relatives in the south, like my family) and he was like, "are you going down there to pick some cotton too..." I was like, what the hell did you just say...and then a couple of days later, he said it to me again!! Then thats when I reported him. I should have just did it the first time. But seriously, this guy WAS the stereotypical gay man...you would have never expected it...

Do people really think the original post was serious? That someone could actually think "Take My Breath Away" was about lynching?!?

And Brian laughing along with Axl after a fan gets sit at in the face merely for being born with a certain pigmentation is dispicable and I'd be surprised if Brian doesn't have a KKK card in his wallet for times when He's want to see Axl or feels like go out for a night on the town and harass some little black school children.
Come on, Brian would never do that! Honestly, do you think he, of all people, would be racist? I mean REALLY?! Get your facts straight man...
We are, we are the saints We signed our life away Doesn't matter what you think We're gonna do it anyway We are, we are the saints One day you will confess And pray to the Saints of Los Angeles
this thread is funny...Brian is a smart man.
Yeah...

like I said, thats a very touchy subject...if any of them were in fact like that...they WOULD NOT be dumb enough to say it on camera, or to any magazine, radio station, etc, basically anything having to do with the media...since its more of a backlash, if a white person says something racist...TRUST ME ON THAT ONE!
