From everything I've read, I think Freddie was just one big shag magnet on the gay scene. He certainly wasn't picky. Every male member of his staff were glazed doughnuts themselves at one point, I'm sure. So sticking it to Elton, Bowie, Jagger, and the rest of the UK poofs wouldn't be a stretch.
