ANNOUNCE KEEP PASSING THE OPEN WINDOWS DEMO

These demos (from Musicland studios, Munich) come from Peter Freestone. He gave them to me some years ago (I did the transfer from original tape to CD) and possibly later to some other fans too.

I traded them with two or three fans (with Peter's permission) and I know for sure at least one of them has broken his promise and spread them (hello David!). In fact I'm surprised they haven't leaked earlier, most collectors had them already some months ago.

Before anybody accuses me of anything - NO, I really don't mind that the demos are available here. I'm (almost) not trading at all anymore and I'm too old to get angry over something that marginal :-) Enjoy them...

I don't remember exactly. Two takes of Keep Passing The Open Windows, You're The Only One (that's how I named an untitled track), two Freddie's improvisations (one piano, one with a band?) and One Year Of Love. I think. I haven't heard that for years, I don't collect demos anymore :-)

Exactly what Mr. Scully remembers, PLUS New York (a different and longer version as the one that appeared in the FM box set).

-New York (Freddie improvised vocals/piano only)
-Improvisation (Piano only)
-Improvisation (same melody as above but with Roger, John AND improvised Freddie vocals)
-You Are The Only One (Freddie improvised vocals/piano only)
-Keep Passing Open Windows (Freddie improvised vocals/piano only - the one in here)
-Keep Passing Open Windows (Freddie, Roger, John)
-One Year Of Love (different mix with guitar)

I wish someone in the 'know' would compile a list of ALL demos, either freely traded or not. But unfortunately there seems to be an issue with people sharing information of what's out there.

Well you've got to understand that the fans with the rarest gems in their collection probably went through a lot to get them so it's pretty obvious why they don't want to share it with everyone. Although I think this community lives due to people sharing I accept the fact that there are certain things in people's collection that has a personal value to themselves.

That's probably the best I can describe it. I personaly don't want to take sides here on who's right and who's wrong. It's everybody's own decission to share or not.
