These people haven't got chips up their arses more like Paul Rodgers up their ass. These peiple who dispise Freddie and fall in love with a useless old blues singer no one had heard of until 12 months ago makes me sick.

That sounds so similar to what was said about EVERY OTHER former "Take That" member except Gary Barlow and Robbie only gains more popularity.
I'm afraid you'll be wrong. Robbie will be around if he wants to be, I fear he'll be the new Cliff Richard of some sorts...

Those of you who seem to bash Robbie, purely becuase you have a trivial hate for him because he like Queen and sung a decent version of We Are The Champions with Bri and Rog, and attempts We Will Rock You at his shows as a bit of a homage to one of his heroes, only come across like watered down versions of Brians Cunting Perm with your "Oh hes rubbish he cant sing, he's not successful etc etc".
The guy has talent. The guy can sing. He certainly knows how to entertain and put on a good show, and is probably one of, if not the, best out there at the moment at doing that. I'm not a crazy Robbie fan, but I do like him alot - but Angels his only good song? Have a laugh...

If you care to re-read my post, you will find I state the man has talent and is very successful. At the end of the day, each to their own.

I you care to re-read my post, I only included what you said about Angels, and I wasn't really picking on you personally anyway. It was something of a simple inclusion, and it just so happened that you were the person who made that point.
yeah I see it now...sorry.

Good entertainers?
George Thorogood & The Destroyers,
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers,
Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band
Need any more?[/QUOTE]
You have a petty hate for Robbie Williams, and clearly like Thorogood, Petty and Springsteen, which makes the above comments unfair 'arguments'.
Par example, I think Bono is an attention grabbing prick who doesn't give a shit about charity and is just a poor-mans Geldof, always making everyone else do charity and stealing the lime-light while doing fuck-all himself, but I can still turn around and say that, despite not liking the vast majoirty of U2's music, arguably, they are one of the better bands on the planet, possibly ever. Yet, you hate Robbie Williams, and thus conclude that, whatever happens, he is shite. Which is pointless, and like I say, sounds almost as ridiculous as when BPP goes on and on about how rubbish and unproven Paul Rodgers is, was, and will be forever, when we all know, despite maybe not liking him completely etc, that is bollocks.

I did not ignore what you said. I could just as easily say you have ignored what I have said, however. Other than the above being your opinion, my view is I feel that you will hate Mr Williams whatever and it would seem that whatever he does, you have made your mind up that you are going to hate it for one reason or another.
And anyway, as in accordance with yourself, he has apparently sung ONE show out of tune. So? Football players have a WHOLE bad game all the time, doens't mean they are forever shit. Robbie was fine at the MTV awards, (perhaps other than WWRY) was one of the best at Live Aid, Knebworth was quality etc etc. But does that not count?
My point was, if you read what I said, that you hate Robbie and say he is shit, and then you say you like Thorogood, Springsteen etc, and they are good... how can that be a justified argument? Like I said, I hate Bono/U2, but I can still turn around and say that, yeh, they are good, but I can't stand them. You seem to have a hate for Robbie Williams, but go around spouting on about how he can't sing, has no talent etc, which, lets face it, is utter crap, regardless of whether he is or isn't your taste.
Pathetic was the word you used I think?

Yeah whatever- he's talented or not- couldn't care less, I can't stand the guy. This is not music for me- this is product. He's NOT entretaining me- if I hear him I want to slap him. IMO he's making a tit of himself on stage. He points the mic to the audience and that's called showmanship. Fair enough. I prefer the guy who stands with mic stand entire gig and when sings- his voice touches my soul. Robbie only makes me cry. And it's not because I'm touched...
I can admit that his technique can be good at times ("...Swinging" thing wasn't THAT bad actually), but the tone of his voice AND phrasing are really poor. In My Opinion of course.
Oh- and I don't rate "Angels" as good song. Annoys the hell out of me. If I was to chose one I'd probably go for "Let Me Entertain You"- got a little bit of this "SOMETHING" in it. I've heard hundreds of songs like "Angels", tens of them more beautiful and much better... The only difference is... Anyone heard about "Anna Lee"? I thought so...
I really don't acre about charts. I found my niche, there are many bands in the underground that are more interesting and finding them is more satisfying. Robbie is for me a n example of what's wrong with the music industry. But that's just my opinion.
Oh- he's arrogance is also a factor. And just before someone will say that Fred was also arrogant. Yes, but at the same time he was charming and funny, tongue-in-cheek with that. Robbie isn't.

I was under the impression that without 'Angels', Robbie's solo career would not have taken off in the way that it did.
And contrary to what someone here said, I don't think Robbie actually wrote 'Angles'. I thought it was Robbie's songwriter, Guy Chambers, who penned that hit.
Who knows, maybe if Gary Barlow had been lucky in the songs he had had written for him years ago, and Robbie less lucky, things could be the opposite of what they are now.

Erhm, Robbie does write his lyrics. Or maybe he just bullshits everyone by discussing how the lyrics came about in interviews and also is CREDITED for no-good reason. Facts are never the strong points of anti-Robbie people. I guess it's due to being blinded by hatred... :-P
Oh let's just assume that Robbie doesn't write anything, so his new album without Chambers just HAPPENS to sound like Robbie-lyrically because Duffy is a great impersonator of other peoples lyrical styles... Give me a break.
