Cant believe no one has mentioned the possibility that ITS A MISTAKE. Which it probably is. I cant see them booking gigs at big places with ZERO publicity about it.

In Europe 3/4 of the gigs were already sold out before they were 'officially' announced.

I am really excited to see such a strong possibility of a real USA tour. Hopefully they can add some east coast dates. Since those shows on ticketmaster and back-to-back and fairly close to eachother, it looks like they are planning a big tour.
But...$200 is even more than the most expensive seats at New Jersey. and the only reason they could get away with charging so much there was because it was supposedly a "one-off" and lots of fans came in from out of town to seem the show. For a big tour there won't be a lot of people traveling to get there so sales will be less. Since New Jersey didn't even sell out, they really need to lower the prices so casual rock fans will go to the show. There is no way that Queen+PR can get away with charging the same prices as huge extemely popular bands on its first US tour in over 20 years and not having released any new material.
If they try it, which it looks like they are, the tour will fail and probably be cancelled before it starts. I would advise anyone that buys tickets not to make travel plans until we see how sales go.

I am very excited--but it's a haul to the Northwest- luckily my borther in law lives up there- I am surprised at the $200 ticket price for the best seats..that needs to come down a bit...they are not Paul, U2, etc. to command those prices..Queen has a lot of new, younger fans that could not possibly afford these tickets--what a shame.

I thought the $150 a paid per ticket was high in LA. Wed. I went to see Sir Paul @ $250... actually went by myself because no one I knew was interested in paying that much and $500 for a couple was really too much if not your favorite band. Anyways, I couldn't help but feel disappointed in the concert after Queen + PR... Classic stuff, I know, which is why I went, but the complexity and beauty of the music is just not up the standard of Queen - nor was the performance or vocal quality.
Still, Sir Paul was sold out, and I do doubt if Queen will be able to do that across the US at those prices.
You know, I saw Santana for $75 for best seats in Oct. They had 2 excellent opening bands for a 4 1/2 hour show, tons of musicians. Wonderful performance. Now that was a good value.

I don't think there will be any dates in the US selling out without official word. They have to advertise here.

Someone posted on QOL that the full announcement is coming Monday..and that there will be a show in Detroit in April. Maybe that explains why my local station is playing the enitre ANATO CD at midnight monday. ;-)

Indeed--if it wasn't for QZ--I would not have known about the UK dates, presales, etc. If I waited for the official word..I would have missed out.
Looks like Ticketmaster has taken down the 2 dates. Now there's a message that says: "Tickets are currently not available online. Check back soon."
I would guess someone in the Queen camp got word that Ticketmaster had posted some dates before the official word and has told 'em to take 'em down. Same exact thing happened with the Kiss/Aerosmith tour a few years ago.

Has anyone considered the possibility that the Ticketmaster listing was simply an error?
Looks like another "premature" date leaked -- March 24 at The Palace Of Auburn Hills in Detroit.
