Given what the release is and given what we all know it *could* have been, it seems like an insubstantial complaint somewhat directed at a bystander, when there is *so* many more substantial and wholly deserved critiques to be made. In short, QP just cocked up this release, and the fact that it contains some footage of Brian May playing alone onstage from the ROTC DVD is the least of its problems. A bit like telling someone with terminal cancer that, by the way, he also has split ends.

I agree totally. I think the thing is that most valid criticisms have been made, and to restate the obvious was a bit like going over old ground - which is something I always try to aviod.
The biggest surprise for me, was all about expectation. The disc is really well described on 'Play.com', and by fans both in here and 'Queenonline', so I purchased with eyes wide open - knowing full well beforehand what I had bought. So I should have been prepared.
But I wasn't.
I still find the 'Return Of The Champions' footage so far from the mark of the original concept, that it just sticks out like a tree in the south pole, and it's not until one actually views it, that the unsuitability sinks in.
I know that the lyric reads;
"Don't you hear my call though your many years away", and that the song is about time-travel, and that Brian electronically duets with himself - 30 years apart, so I can see WHY it fits, it's just that I don't like HOW it fits!

All I can say is that I noticed a few moths the cancer problem, and no matter however trivial, I never really noticed the split-ends problem, untill I actually sat down and watched the damn thing!
