It's easier to control crowd movement with the seating. 25 years ago at a Who concert a number of people were stampeded and North American promoters from that time have been wary.

Nah, I doubt it has anything to do with that since I saw Bruce Springsteen in 2002 at the U.S. Bank Arena and it was General Admission on the floor and everything went smooth.

They aren't coming because we simply do not have a proper venue for this show. The old "Coliseum" on the river is a tired old dump, and Cintas Center/Shoemaker Center are both way to small.
Even Riverbend is completely out-moded, when compared to Deer Creek/Polaris. Now, I see no reason that they cannot play the Schottenstein Center or Nationwide Arena in Columbus, or Rupp Arena in Lexington.

I thought, too, they'd book Columbus rather than Cleveland since the location is right in the middle of the state and a short drive for people from Cleveland and Cincinnati to hit. Plus, all the major tours seem to book Columbus now (Bon Jovi, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney...)
