Sorry all, I know Andy and others are right and we should let this thread die, but please allow me to let out my anger and frustration, as one of the few people who believed in Arlene and was fooled by her for a very long time. It has taken me 27 pages to be fully convinced that she was lying :-). Why, I still can't understand. Attention seeking? I don't know. If she had a mental disorder I wouldn't feel angry, but I feel she is just playing with all of us, and that makes me very very sad.
But what makes me even angrier is to realize how naive I am. Shame on me for believing that everybody is sincere and honest. I'm 34 years old. I should know better! Shame on me, really, for taking people's good faith for granted.
I emailed Arlene but my mails bounced back. I addressed many friendly posts to her, and I'm sure she has seen them all, just like she is reading this thread. She always said she liked me, but she won't take the time to reply to me, or to the other people on the board who believed her, or at least had an open mind towards her and did not insult her like many posters have done. She ignores us all, still she seems to have the time to post about other topics, and even to play with her screen name (but like Togg says, you can't hide!).
Arlene, this was not funny. I'm mad now but I'll forget about this as soon as I post this message. Because...I have a life! You instead will be more and more alone. I'm sorry for you. You have lost the respect of one more Queenzoner, one who actually even admired you...i.e. me.
OK guys, I have opened my eyes too now. Thanks for listening to my frustration. But well...now I'm posting this, and my frustration will be gone. The lesson though won't be forgotten....

I didn't believe her from the start. ALSO- I didn't like her before.

I'm full of respect for the people who were genuinely concerned and wanted to help. It was heart warming to see people trying to do somthing TO HELP. Help a person they have never even met! As we know- some even wanted to send some money!!! How much trust is there?!
I am absolutely full of respect. And that's why I don't think I will ever tolerate Arlene EVER. THOSE people are the ones whom she owes something- if not an explanation than at least apology... She doesn't have to stand before the whole QZ or something... But if Fairy says her Emails are bouncing back... How DISCRESPECTFUL is that?????????? People who believed her and who were worried about her? Who were genuinely trying to help? I'm glad you posted that you won't let this one incident turn you in to a cynical person. You should not allow her actions to make you believe that every person is like this. In my line of work, the majority of people I come in to contact with lie and manipulate the system to get the charity of others. However, for every 10 people that are like this, there is 1 that is truly in need and I am glad I'm there to help out. I look at the positive and pass the negative off as a learning experience. It's just a matter of doing some digging to find out the issues. Once you dig a little, you find what you need to know.
Keep on being the caring person you are Fairy. This goes for everyone that wanted to help in this situation. Don't let the actions of one person keep you from wanting to lend a hand to others. Some people really do need you.
