Ticket Tips

after going to the NJ show i want to know everyone's take on where and how to buy the best seats in the house for shows. I was thinking of buying the $200 tickets? or should i wait on some kind of packadge, what i am looking for is seats right up on the stage and there were chances where i couldve bought them but i was wondering if i should try for the presale and leave it "in the lap of the gods" as to what seats i get. And with the QOL presale what do u need a code or something??? or do u need to buy them through QOL? I really need to know these answers soon gotta know how much money to get outta the bank.
and im sure a lot of other people could use the knowledge!

Personally I'm going to be really mad if the only way to get seats right next to the stage is by buying the VIP. It sickens me how they can't find new way to squeeze money out of the hardcore fans.

I'm sickened by the situation, too. The only way you will get front row or really, really close would be with a fucking VIP package. So, some rich people who know 3 or 4 Queen songs will be the ones at the front more than likely.

You might could luck out and get good tickets right before the day of the show, but other than that you will be lucky to end up looking over 15 rows of heads on the floor or be a dozen or so rows up in the stands..:-((

ive said this before back in october b4 the NJ show- you find the real fans up in the rafters....(like me)

I'm sure it'll be like the last time. The best available face value tickets will be about 15 or 20 rows up beside the stage or fairly far back on the floor.

I told all of you this last time before the NJ show,so i'll tell you again.The presales are a waste of time.Two days before the new jersey show they were releasing front floor seats and the sections next to the stage.With the second level arenas they are playing,at least on the east coast,they will sell even less platinum packages this time.Be patient.I was 17th row on the floor at the meadowlands,thanks to everyones favorite enemy,EBAY.Let the brokers jump and buy the tickets and i'll wait thanks.I went to birmingham and cardiff for face and nj for less than face.Dont buy the crap seats they put on sale.The best seats will be given back by the promoter and the radio stations the week before the concert.For those of you who dont want to wait,good luck.

I posted similar comments back last Autumn on QOL regarding the NJ show to try to give some hope to a few fans still looking for tickets. I also wanted others to know how you could possibly get some great seats by waiting like this, and my post was deleted!

I guess QPL did'nt like my advice...after all if everyone knew the game, they would'nt sell many tickets months before a show!

I was still a little miffed about that though.

This is my first post; I wanted to just add two cents about ticket purchases. I went for the Gold VIP package in NJ (ended up in row N, right next to catwalk), and got all the 'promo' goodies, spending nearly $800 for the pair of tix. Certainly, I felt this was worth it, being a die hard fan of the band since '75. On the day of the show, I thought I'd take a look at Ticketmaster, since I decided last minute to bring the kids. I got a pair of tix in row K, right along the catwalk (and was able to keep an eye on the kids all night, from just three rows behind).

Reviewing the VIP package for the 2006 tour (and I have to echo others' thoughts I've seen posted here and/or on QOL), I can't see putting that kind of money out again. I think the band may have misfired here, assuming that the market across the US is going to be as strong as it was for NJ and LA (when a lot of folks thought it might be the only chance to see them). It was a tremendous show, and I'd love to see them again, but -

Only NY area show posted at this time is in Long Island, in an 'arena' that has been crumbling down for almost 20 years? And putting these up for sale (at these prices) right around the holidays? Is the thought that fans will be feeling generous, and not mind shelling out the big bucks for these VIP deals?

I think I have to ride this out, to see if anything gets announced for some place like MSG; and I would wager that better seats would be available closer to showtime (when the reality of non-sold packages surfaces), then to tax yourself on the stresses of 'pre-sales', which (from my experiences with other bands as well) do not offer the 'best' seats to the truest fans, like you folks on this board.

Motley Crue had a VIP package that cost less than the Queen one and you actually got to meet the band. I am glad they are coming back but they are taking a huge risk with these VIP packages and ticket prices. I hope that the entire thing does not backfire on them.

I don't know what the risk is with the VIP package. They will sell the tickets. If people don't want to shell out for the tour jacket etc. the seats will just go for the standard rate.

I am going to check out the presale. If I can't get great seats I will pass and wait for the regular sale. I won't take a chance and wait until a week before the show.
