Calling all girls, strange title

Hi guys, this is just a silly thing but I've always thought that the title for this song is kind of strange. I mean, why just girls? LOL
Does anyone agree? :-)))
And do you like the song? I find it very simple but really nice.

I don't desperately like it, but I simply don't know why just girls, maybe "calling all boys and girls" would have sounded rather stiff.

i think it is goo, one of roger's best songs, i like it, but if freddie had written it it would have definatly been calling all boys, transvestites etc!! lol!

I agree a bizare title, but its simple...
And i like the message of the song... its sweet...
Its a strange video as well, but entertaining nonetheless... its very 80's
But i think "A Message of Love" wouldnt have fit the mode of the song

If you think Calling All Girls is a weird title, look at these

1. Tenement Funster
2. Kasshogi's ship (spelled right?)
3. Great King Rat

They are all good songs but with odd titles. I guess that made them stand out.

Thanks God you didn't mention Penetration Guru title... Otherwise you'd have at least one powerful enemy on this board. Though GreatKingSam and me (my old nick was Serry Funster) wouldn't like your list too...

Yeah I know there are a bunch of songs with weird titles, which is actually cool. I don't know...this one always strikes me as being strange. Probably because Roger just picked girls when both boys and girls are mentioned, and boys are even mentioned first...

OK, I know this is just a silly topic LOL. Art doesn't follow any rational rule...and thank God it doesn't!
