I have to say that in Milwaukee they are really promoting the QPR show to the hilt..more than I have heard for other shows coming to town. I am very pleased!. Every 1/2 hour there is a QPR Ad on the Classic Rock Radio station--They put together a montage of QPR songs..."It's been 23 years and MKE is one of only 20 us shows..." Then they have them as Artist of the week and have another Ad for that..and they have been playing a QPR track almost every hour!! Just had WWRY/WAC on..pretty wild all the DJs seem to be excited...some mentioned in addition to the AD--"hey Queen with Paul Rodgers coming to town, going to be a great show.tix on sale Saturday at 10)...Pretty Cool

Also I have heard some promo on the Chicago stations I can pull in.

Curious as we go along--the promotion other cities.
*pout* I wish I could hear promos...
Have heard a big voiced guy on Washington, DC's WARW 94.7 promoting "Queen and Paul Rodgers" with lots of tour clips, and even Brian saying "Mister PAUL RODGERS!" from when he introduces Paul before Crazy Little Thing (not me, the song!)

WARW's presale for the gig is on Friday.

Pfff ... Artist Arena isn't the only game in town. Got EXCELLENT seats for Aerosmith through the WARW presale. While singing, Steven Tyler handed a guy sitting/standing next to my friend Alicia his sunglasses. That close.

Erin: I'll run a tape (it's all I have at work) and try and tape one of the ads for you.
I saved Spike's life in 'Nam.

Got it. Will pop in the mail to you as I don't have a way to transfer it to digital.

I was watching ESPN basketball tonight. They had a TV ad for the Milwuakee show!!!! I was in a bar just about screaming my head off.

Also I have report of a full page ad in our local freebie artsie paper.

And Right now--Alice Cooper is playing Silver Blue and Gold by BC...he's been hyping this tour as well.
I have heard 3 different promos here in MKE..all during work where I don't have a tape.

I'm freakin' SHOCKED about the promotion you guys are seein'! I wish I was living somewhere where I could see the t.v. commercials! Duluth, GA is the closest to us, so I don't think I'll be hearing anything round these parts..:-P
Erin- To be honest I am shocked as well..but I am so happy about it. I hope other folks will let us know what they are hearing of seeing for promotion.
On my classic rock station, they are running a feature where you can win free tickets to the Portland concert if you're the ninth caller every once in a while. I'm not sure on the details, but they've been advertising it the entire week.
Here in NYC Area the classic rock station Q104.3 is giving away tickets all weekend. After calling endlessly at least on five different occasions, I finally got through and won myself a pair of tickets!!!
Moo!

Hoorah for you--good job.
Here in Vancouver they've been promoting the concert in The Vancouver Sun and on the rock stations jackfm and rock101.
Freddie: "Yes, we'll have a great big cock fly over the crowd!" Roadies: "Yeah! Great Idea!" Freddie: "And it will fly into a great big mouth with a moustache!"
