I know that by the time Freddie was infectet with H.I.V. the medical treatment wasnt that good as it is today ( People living longer as HIV positive) But its a mystery to me how long Freddie was ill, in fact, it could be in 5 years or 8 years, what do you think? or know?

I don't care how long he had it. Why does it matter?

Exactly...
Someday, Your princess will come, Mine got lost, took a wrong turn and she is too stubborn to ask for directions.
I think FREDDIE contracted the illness in 1987, but it really doesn't matter.
This can't end well.
of course it matters.this question is perhaps the biggest mystery.we all have our theories as to when he contracted and when he knew what he was dealing with.my guess is that he knew during the magic tour that he was positive.we will really never know for sure.

Well, when you die of an illness and leave no indication as to when you contracted it, we'll all speculate for years. Maybe we'll also call your family and friends, just to know something so trivial. But it will matter, so it's all good.

he didn`t contracted the illness in 1987
he made the test in 1987, and then he knew he had the virus
some people say that freddie contracted the illness between 1984 and 1985, because they say that freddie made the first hiv test in 1985 (after live aid), but he was negative.
i`m sure freddie contracted the illness in new york
freddie used to go to a club called "studio 59" or somethng like that
and he went to a vip section, where he met with other gays men
there are some people who say that all the people who went to that vip area, today they are dead.

Nah...not that it really matters....he probably contracted the virus in and around 1980-82 when Queen were still touring America. That gives an incubation period of at least 5 years to when he started with the full blown effects in '87.
Freddie: "Yes, we'll have a great big cock fly over the crowd!" Roadies: "Yeah! Great Idea!" Freddie: "And it will fly into a great big mouth with a moustache!"
Oh, yeah, did he not have some sort of thing growing in his mouth during the Magic tour? And he said "We're going to do this my way, because I might not be around much longer" around the same time.
This can't end well.
I remember reading a celebrity interview on QOL (Freddie's driver) sayin that his health & mental state were deteoriting by 1983-85, he punched people & all...

possibly out of depression or denial (this commonly happens) I am sure he had no fear though...
he could hold on by make-up till 1988 or nearby, some of his friends have reported to seen him terribly ill during that period to his demise...

regardless of all that, what he achieved in 45 years, could not be achieved an half of by Gandhi in over 80 years... I don't assume most of us will anyway :)

Hey, it's Brian May's favorite Queenzoner. How's it going dude.
It's pretty safe to say that he was totally unaware that his fate had been sealed by 1983, his last year in NY, and that he would have been more careful if the dangers had been fully known at that time. Tragically it was too late
