Hey, the James Brown song is 'Living In America' from Rocky IV.
at least your getting them,,,us in scotland are not,,,think its something to do with our kilts?
I think it will be a huge succes....but the shows weren't sold out in Europe, because of their dumb-ass tourpromotor...they have been so stupid to tell the who;e world that all shows were sold out when they weren't, so the ticketbuyers went to the boxoffices to get tickets for other shows...and left Queen and Paul Rodgers with enormous amounts of unsold tickets and many empty seats....even in Brixton, there weren't even any people in the top seats area...a few relatives maybe...and in the rest of the venues i was, there were big areas where no one was sitting...emptiness all over .... so..if this stupid marketing strategie is being continued in the states...they are throwing away a lot of money...and chasing away their own fans...who think that there are no more tickets, and don't plan on going then, and later find out that the ticets to get the place filled are being sold in front of the theatres for dump prices, or in many cases even given away for free....But for as far as their "new product" is concerned, i feel that - given the huge differences and shortcomings all over- they do have something that will bring a lot of joy to a lot of people. I sabled down their start-off show in Brixton, but saw them change and grow and get better along the way...so they do learn, adjust and improve...but the tracklist is not very much like a queenshow used to be...it is very predictable, but misses some ingredients too that made Queenshows so much better and different than other bands shows. Freddie Mercury WAS the show....Paul Rodgers is merely a side-product added to half of Queen.... He sings brilliantly, and has his enormous voice...but he doesn't make any efforts to play with, or involve the audiences....it is like them doing their thing with bulletproof glass between them and the crowd...there is no spark...no crazy shit...all the shows are so very much the same, and if you've seen 1, you've pretty much seen 'm all....with Freddie around, each and every show was different, and Freddie could let every crowd eat out of the palm of his hand....i am NOT asking that from Paul, or even comparing him next to Freddie, as he is a star in his own right...BUT, nevertheless...i think that if they really want to continue doing tis, even after this tour record a new album and then tour again to promote that....they MUST work on the promotion/promotor....and think of something that will change and intensify the contact between them and us from the stage....even without Paul looking like an imitator of Freddie, there are zillions of things he could do to improve that....for instance: improvise...ask the crowd what they want to hear...and show some more balls by not being afraid to try new things....or get some fans on stage to join him for songs and words....things like that...??? haha, i for one, would really love to climb that stage, and duet with Paul or Brian and Roger...they would be astonished !!!
This tour ....mmmm....as long as they are on stage and have fun...it is okay with me....but still it should be titled as a product : 50% Queen + Paul Rodgers.....as the 2 persons
who DID write the biggest selling successes for Queen, are both sadly missed....so it isn't even 50% really.....and how can we expect to get 100% if this remains like it is now? Paul, Spike, Jamie and Danny sure can not make up for, or compensate with 4 persons, the enormous gap that is there without Freddie and John....and that is what we all feel i think.....But Queen is still a very much respected name in the world, and will sell good because of that. Many youngsters never even saw Brian or Roger....and take this opportunity to at least see them play live once...and without them having been there in the good old days, they will not be able to compare like we...the oldtimers that did see the real Queen live....so..i think that this show with these songs being played, is still a very nice experience for them...and they do get to see and hear the old fireplace

Very complicated explanation...
The fact is that there is no such as facts onto comments, believes and opinions... You can give your comment and or opinion but just don't talk as it's a fact...
Once Rolling Stone was a band with Brian Jones... He's not anymore since long... still they are the Rolling Stones...
And above all it's not to us to decide weither it's wrong or right.... only the involving members can... and what is wrong or right is difrent for each of us...
Closing point: According to ppl who were at the Sheffield concert ... Freddies mum said "It's all my son would have wanted" knowing he was very close to his mum, I put my trust in her...and don't tell me she doesn't know anything of her son, as that would be an insult not only towards her, but above all towards Freddie himself...
---My opinion is: it's good to have some good music back... 2005 was a good year for the greatest concerts: Queen, Macca, Rolling Stone,Pink Floyd.. The Who...We need to learn the youngsters of today what are good bands (again to opinion)... And it ain't Britney Spear, Xtina, Backstreet boys...and hell take that soon back aswell, and all the rubbish singers that I forgot the name of....
PLEASE GIVE ME ROCK, THE REAL MUSIC!!!

ALLALUIA!!! SOMEBODY SAID WHAT I YELL AT FREAKIN MTV EVERYDAY WHEN I GO PAST IT IN CHANGING CHANNELS!!! and Well SAID Bas asselbergs BECAUSE i too agree with you. I know ill never get to see the full QUEEN line up because fred has left us. And i was only 2 when he died, and i love Queen no matter what. And its unfortunate John isnt with them as well. But i really enjoy Paul Rogdgers and Band Company/Free's music as well. And they have blessings from Fred's family, and fred always supported continuing on with the music as long as it was bringing in fans. And im glad as hell they're going on tour!! Because Brian and Roger and Paul are all extremely talented individuals as well. And you cant expect a freddie show with paul because 1)they are 2 different ppl and
2)if he tried to do what freddie did then the lot of you would be bitching because hes tryin to much to emulate freddie and no one can do that. so for some of you, theres no pleasing you no matter what. But i say, CHEERS to BRIAN, ROGER and PAUL for doing what they're doing, and as brian stated, u dont like it, dont go, plain and simple. Its a once in a lifetime thing

Milwaukee is a trashy town now filled with the highest crime rates in WI and is just not really the best neighbor for Sheboygan.
In 1990, Sheboygan was named the top place to raise children. Now in 2005, Milwaukee's citizens have changed that.

Do they have a support act there or are they even the support act of other bands?[/QUOTE]
You know, I've heard that point made before on this board. The first time Queen+PR played the states, there were people posting on this board saying "maybe Queen should hand out the lyrics to LOML so the crowd will know it". And now I read this last post. Listen, If we're at the concert, we knom the words to ALL the songs on the setlist. I am positive that because of Freddies death and the line-up change that, with a few exceptions, the people buying the tickets are the REAL fans. So don't insult us by basically saying "Hey! the Americans aren't fan enough! We'll help them out. Freddie was the one with bad teeth, Brian has the afro, Roger's the blonde-haired male whore, and john is the silent monk". Just stop.

I guess this means we wont be seeing Bitch4Freddie at any of the American shows!!
I hope Bitch4freddie gets hit by their tour bus:P
We cannot deny them the right to play regardless of Freddie & John's absence...
They can play all they want, but can't they use a different name, cuz Without Freddie There is no Queen and the bass magic of John too isn't there but I assume they will do fine. However, they should no longer be known as Queen regardless of them covering Queen songs
