Yep. Nasty things those firing squares.
But at least he's not facing a firing octagon, eh? I wouldn't wish that on anyone. ;)

LB's correct. Gary Glitter = sh*tter.
As in - George Michael takes it up the Gary!!!
PS: Why is Gary Glitter staying sober at Xmas?
Because he is expecting a good shot in the new year!

AGP, please don't be rude towards P_G. Again, he wasn't having a go at you, OR your grampa. He just wanted a "thanks" for his efforts to try and satisfy your "begging" (request).
It's too bad that your grandfather died.
I lost a good friend to breast cancer back in September 2003, so I know how you feel. I can sympathize.
But you know what? There's a saying in my family's other language, French, that goes "C'est la vie", which means "That's life". It means you have to accept the way things are, and move on.
Now, I'm sure you might not agree with us on defending P_G, but I would like to ask that you at least admit that you took things he said the wrong way, and also that a simple "I'm sorry" to everyone here would be in order, and then let bygones be bygones.
