Hey I was just wondering if Freddie's funeral was a private ceremony or if it was open to the public. I imagine that Brian, Roger, and John as Well as Mary, Jim, and Phoebe were also there. I thought I heard that it was conducted in the Zoroastrian faith. Anyone know who attended? Thanks.

Im pretty sure it was private. And yes the people u have listed there were in attendence, however as far as other people, if my memory serves me right, Jim Hutton said it was a small service. and only 25 minutes or so long. it wasnt long.

Private, I believe. Band members and wives, Mary, Freddie's family and staff. Elton was there too, I believe. Conducted mostly in Parsee, the language of the Zoroastrian faith. And they played Aretha Franklin's "You've Got A Friend" and an aria from Montserrat, of course. At least that's what the books say.
it was a small funeral i got a bit of it on dvd from news clips of freddie, showing you all the cards left from celebs etc
Private but the press were outside.
