[QUOTENAME]Regor wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Actually the remix sounds a bit constructed and too many scratches and stuff IMO in the beginning - but adding Flea and Chad in the end, and the idea of making the closing chords of the guitar solo a "new" riff is absolutely brilliant and really rocks. Almost turns the solo into a song in it's own right. Great stuff.
I guess ill have to listen to it and reevaluate it then. I agree on the scratching part, too much of it definatly... But hmm... so many good reviews, perhaps i should give it a listen again... Ill give it a shot

What would you think about Antony fronting for Queen?

I dont know... Mixed i guess, i really dont know hed have the power/range to pull it off...
It may be interesting, but as i said, im not really a big RHCP fan.
I would love to see Paul McCartney tho.
But i also think that Paul Rodgers does a fantastic job.

For some reason, this remix is one of the few that I really, really like. I think it may be because News Of The World was the first Queen album I ever got when I was 10, and I layed it back-to-front many many times over. There's really nothing about it that I don't like, though I can see why people wouldn't like it.

as much as i adore RHCP, anthony would not be able to pull most of the songs off. i think his range is about 2 octaves.
i havent heard the remix by them, is there some link someone could send me to hear?
and from what i understadn chad smith did one of the remixes on the Queen albums. dont remember which one tho
as for the rick rubin, the over dubbing guitars at the end, the annoying lil sound after teh scratch that continues thruout hte song and the trumpet parts we can do with out. and hte skiping and the lil off-beat drum. ...yeha basically keep the oignial and add the echo and thats it
Yes thats how i feel about it. But i have yet to listen to it again, but obviously im not really in a rush to, but i will try it...
