Also, it's been mentioned before, John, but what did you mean by a Roger-written version of 'Love Kills'?
I would like to know this as well!
Another thing, why the live unreleased stuff made it to the Ultimate Cillection. I don`t understand the criteria used to choose unreleased concerts.

I think it's whatever concerts were heavily bootlegged, though I'm not entirely sure.

Yeah, but that's a hide of shame xD
I don't think I could ever hide from shame - if I looked half as good as you do!

John, I'd love to hear more about the Queen/Roger written 'Love Kills' and the Queen 'Killing Time' unreleased tracks, if you would please.
Below are the times for the USA vinyl LP of 'Strange Frontier' not listed in your comprehensive post.
First, this is the UK LP and CD reissue track listing:
Strange Frontier / Beautiful Dreams / Man On Fire / Racing In The Streets / Masters of War
Killing Time / Abandonfire / Young Love / It's An Illusion / I Cry For You
now, for the USA Capitol SJ - 12357 vinyl track listing and times (UK in parentheses)
Man On Fire...4:02..(4:03)
I Cry For You...4:16..4:13)
It's An Illusion...4:03..4:01)
Racing In The Streets...4:25..same
Masters Of War...3:48..(3:46)
(correctly listed on the sleeve and back cover, but as 'Master Of War' on the vinyl)
Strange Frontier...4:11..(4:13)
Beautiful Dreams...4:25..(4:22)
Abandonfire...4:12..(4:11)
Killing Time...4:55..(4:56)
Young Love...3:20..same
Curious as to why the change for the USA. It was very odd to listen to the CD after all those years of hearing the LP in the Capitol order.
Oh, and once again, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.

I believe they just used an outdated track sheet for that white label. So those were not the working titles in that instance.
Now I know of an earlier one which has the well-known titles. This earlier test pressing is mastered about 1/30 too fast (shorter running times on all tracks) and also it seems that the engineers weren't sure which side was the A-side and which one was the B-side, as they corrected the matrix code.
By the way, working titles for some THE WORKS songs circa late 1983 are:
- Radio Ga-Ga
- Hard Life
- Machines World
- Passing The Open Windows
- The Hammer To Fall
- Is This The World We Created

Thanks for the support, but I really don't have much more info to add. Sorry.

I don't really know that much more - other than these are supposed to be Roger tracks (so no Freddie I'm afraid).

I notice that the majority of times are different by a few seconds only. Do you think these make a difference to the tracks - or are they just slightly longer fade outs etc?
I have listened to the US LP, but apart from the differing track order, I don't think I noticed any difference. Am I missing out in something?

Snippet of Love Kills as a part of DJ Megamix (by Alan Coulthard) was released in UK on the double 12" vinyl "November 84 - The Mixes". LK snippet is on B-side of the second disk - between The Glamorous Life and Together In Electric Dreams.
Same goes about Roger's Killing Time - snippet of that can be found on "Disco Breaks 10" - the double Dutch vinyl release (unofficial) in 1985. Megamix was made by Peter Slaghuis.
