ROTC biggest ovation....

What song do you think has the biggest ovation on the RTOC cd/Dvd? In my opinion, it was '39, I think this is one of the best Brian's live performance. The audience reaction at the end of the song is amazing!!!...I also found interesting the ovation "I'm in love with my car" received from the audience.

i absolutely agree, i was there and the atmosphere was just amazing when brian played the intro to 39, and also it was special when roger sang these are the days of our lives in front of the old videos, but the best moment was when brian dedicated love of my life to freddie's mum! who was there with the rest of his family.

it's nice you were there, and I agree with you, but one thing I wonder is where Freddie's mom and family where sitting, the DVD doesn't show them and I dont think they were close to the catwalk, am I right?

I dunno man- I was there and half of the audience didn't know what the hell 39 was...

freddie's family were sitting in a special area that had been cut off just for them, so no one would hassle them

Only '39? Sometimes I feel like half of the audience didn't know what the hell Queen were... Earls Court '77, Montreal '81, Sheffield '05 (from widely available, I mean) - the worst shows if we're talking about audience reaction, IMHO.

Folks who were at the rock gig instead of usual bingo night... never heard about any other Queen album apart from GH... Yep- that was half of the venue... Interesting, how different it seemed at few other venues- I personally thought Manchester rocked big time! Or Cardiff...

I don't unterstand that is this point about audience. As for me, I want to listen to musicians, not to fucking crazy screaming girls and drunk fellows. And I like this quite intimate atmospere on WWRY&ROTC.

It's something called mood, atmosphere... If you wanna hear clear sound of musicians - it's on studio albums. Live recording without audience noises, handclaps, Freddie's chats with audience? The next step will be live recording without audience at all ;)

P.S. Roger didn't want to play his Cyberbarn gig without real audience front of him even!

I was at the one in Manchester and everyone near me seemed to know most of the stuff. But so some people don't know EVERYTHING Queen have ever done. The point is the enjoyed it all.

i was there too, and i loved it allllll! I went just a bit mental when Roger started playing I'm In Love With My Car, i was trying to yell to my friend what it was, cos she's kind of new to it, but she just looked confused. X-) Happy, but a bit confused. ;-D

I think Love Of My Life had the biggest ovation because the sound of the crowd is brilliant, I also think Crazy Little Thing Called Love had a good ovation when you hear the whole arena shout "READY FREDDIE!"

I think the audience wasn't so bad, but if they wanted a great audience which screams lower than them they should have recorded a spanish gig. I went to the concert in Barcelona and I wasn't able to hear them as clear because of the screams!!! It was so great!!! Even they felt very surprised, it was incredible...

And the man that recorded all the concerts from the tour (I don't remember the name) said that the greatest audiences were Italian & Spanish, sorry for my English...
