Collaborations

Has anyone thought about possible collaborations between members of Queen and non Queen musicians and what they might sound like? What collaborations would you like to have seen?
There was a recent thread in which a poster suggested Queen would have been better with Jimmy Page or Slash. While I disagree, I wonder about a collaboration with Freddie and Jimmy Page. It could have been quite good.
What about Brian May with Chris Cornell? I think Chris Cornell is an incredible vocalist and songwriter. If you've heard 'Someone To Die For' from the Spiderman 2 soundtrack which Chris Cornell wrote you can get the idea.
I think John Deacon working with George Michael might work. John Deacon wrote some great pop songs and George Michael is the consummate pop singer.
Anyone have any ideas for Roger?(musically speaking LOL)
BTW I think working with Paul Rodgers was a great idea for Roger and Brian.

Roger Taylor once worked with Robert Plant I believe but after several reheasals for a tour nothing came of it, not sure why.

I would have loved to see that tour.

If queen and the sex pistols had joined forces - that would be really weird but possibly really cool. If you wanted a super group than i think that you should join queen with Guns N Roses and Jimi Hendrix and that would be worth listening to! lol

Brian and Roger with McCartney....

Satisfies lead vocals and bass player all at once. He could easily do so much of the Freddie stuff.

Who'd get top billing? And what material would get played?

Ah, to dream. Wickedly hard RnR tunes written by Roger and Brian, with Paul doing his 'Long Tall Sally','I'm Down', or more recent 'Run Devil Run' type vocals.....killer.

But who else can you do that covers both bass and vocals?
hmm...Geddy Lee would be very, very interesting...might not sound too good, but he's one hell of a bassist, i can tell you that.

Maybe with Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) would be alright, or Scott Weiland (Velvet Revolver/Stone Temple Pilots), or...

I don't know; Queen's classic sound could not, has not, and will never be duplicated by any of the new musicians today. That's a fact, jack!

Wow, I was j/ thinking of this the other day in fact, but by the time i got to a computer i forgot about it.
And i was thinking like the ulitmate tour would be Queen/McCartney as well.
Alot of other really awesome collabo's here as well, Syd Barrett, Slash...
Although i would like to see Scott wieland, i duno that his voice could actually carry a Queen song, i love the stuff he does, however, im a lil eiffy on the Queen collabo, maybe with bri on guitar for some VR stuff would be cool tho with Slash as well.
