Well I don't like to be maudlin.....

....but in many, many years time, Brian will leave this mortal coil and move on to teach the angels how to play electric guitar.

He will join Freddie and who ever else makes their way to heaven and play special concerts for the cherubim and seraphim who will marvel at his playing and say lo! On the eighth day, God Created Brian. On the ninth day, He Created Mahogany Inlay Fireplaces.

But when this happens, what will happen to the Red Special? Many specialist auctions have led to Jimi's and Pete's guitars ending up in gaudy so-called Halls of Fame, or Japanese bank vaults where they are never seen again.

I trust that the British Museum will step in if baby Brian Jimmy ever decided to sell...? Do we have a proper UK Hall of Fame, in a building that one can visit?

I can see a campaign coming when I'm in my sixties....cos I'm hoping this won't be an issue for at least another 30 years.

Anyway, that was tonight's random thought.

To be honest i personally think it will go with him in his casket such a unique and personal possesion will be with him forever.

Brian has been quoted as saying he will be buried with it, but I would like to see it put in a museum somewhere...

But of course. He will be in a guitar shaped casket...Upside-down of course, to accomodate his hair.
