What music did queen actualy listen to? and did they have some sort of "idols"
I know that they were good friends with Elton John...
Queen was by there time incomparable, but did they perhaps had any rivivals?

Eclectic taste. All of them.
Roger listens to Eminem....but I think his son likes him. His kids love Queen and all the old stuff so its a reversal of tastes.
Freddie, Brian and Roger [and possibly John (?) ]were all huge Jimi Hendrix fans

Brian likes Black Sabbath and AC/DC. I think Roger too, they were both into that heavy metal scene. John was more into soul/funk that type, whatever you call it.

i just have a lot of old records and some CDs on my ipod. but yea love them defiantly top 10 so original, so talented the lot of them

yeah! that's the way!! i love AC/DC and metal (not death metal though, that's just gay). im also a bit punk...so i wear my AC/DC shirts with bright green pants and converse shoes, with spikey red and black hair.... along with all my accessories and heavy eyeliner!

roger's fave band is the beatles, and he loved jimi hendrix as did brian and freddie, one of his fave albums is the white album

Actually Roger wasn't such a Beatles fan. He liked them of course, but he was way more into Hendrix, Yardbirds, Cream, Led Zeppelin and John Lennon's solo career. And David Bowie.
