WOW- is all I have to say. I have been waiting for this film for a year, and I was not disappointed- although, slightly more depressed than I was going into the theater. I don't even know how to describe it... incredible? heartwrenching? just downright insanely tragic? Since I'm no movie critic, I can't point out many of the Brokeback's faults- so my praise may seem a little much. Of course, I went into the movie theater for the Heath Ledger-on-Jake Gyllenhal action (which I most DEFINITELY got). But now I feel a little bit shallow just expecting it to be the hot gay cowboy movie (which they were- cowboys who just happened to be hot... and gay), but there was so much more to the story than that. This IS the ultimate tragic love story. I'm not the type to cry during sad movies, but if I were, I'd still be bawling right now. This was, however, the closest I have come to tears (if that's saying anything).

I'm not complaining- but I would not have minded a bit more smooching.
Kay Adams Corleone- The ultimate desperate housewife
I cried when Old Yeller got shot. Oh wait, that was my friend - I laughed at him a lot for it. He still hasn't lived it down after six years.

But this sounds interesting, tell me more.
Creativity can always cover for a lack of knowledge.
I loved this movie even though it was incredibly depressing. My mom was down for a few days afterward after seeing it!

I ordered the short story online so I can't wait to read it. I'm definitely going to be seeing it again, though.
Resistance is futile. You are now an orb.
Isn't that Ang Lee's gay western? Only joking I wanna see it but finding someone to go with may prove difficult. Its been marketed in the UK as my opening line. Homophobic? Probably.
Guess who's back?

Back whenever
Has anyone ever noticed that Jake Gyllenhal has the most amazing eyes in existence?

Jake looks so hot in a cowboy hat.
Freddie: "Yes, we'll have a great big cock fly over the crowd!" Roadies: "Yeah! Great Idea!" Freddie: "And it will fly into a great big mouth with a moustache!"
What a waste of $7.00!!!
all my gay friends are refering to this movie as "bareback mountain' haha

I've already seen gay cowboys on Village People videos and Halloween parades in NY and SF.

No need for me to watch this movie.
