Wouldn't that be the manufacturer of the snowman - and NOT the seller of the snowman?

How can it sing "Ice Ice Baby" without the queen riff?

And who the heck would buy that anyway?

Walmart do NOT make products. They have others make them under the Walmart name. So even if it says Walmart on the lable, it was almost certainly made in Taiwan or Korea. I guess they also make the same products for ASDA in UK.

It is those people - the people who made it - who made that choice.

They dont have to pay royalties unless they use the exact bit from the record do they? Which they wouldnt. Theyd use a horrible midi file sounding thingy.
"I bet you lost your virginity to a mechanical bull"
The child labor in Taiwan and Bangladesh choses to have the snowman sing an altered version of ice ice baby that doesn't have the queen riff but has it dance to the missing riff just so walmart can have low prices! it was made by child labor!!!
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Wal-mart for removing anything remotely connected to Queen from a crappy song coming out of a cheap, crappy product.
Blow it out your ass.

who gives a fuck? - so what? bloody hell! lighten up, and keep you argument on track. don't change your point because someone far more intellignet (not exactly mission impossible is it?) has shot down your original point!

royalties are paid in the UK for any sound clips longer than 30 secs in length - this is why Talksport have cut all their use of recognised tunes to 15-20secs

Just a thought, but maybe we should be focusing on the fact that child labour created this product, not that a Queen song is being used on it.

This just goes to show how important world issues are to some people.

And... the product was probably made in China. Not even Korea can compete with their manufacturing force these days.
GH, let him change topics. Isn't it much easier than standing ground?

Isn't it much easier than standing ground?[/QUOTE]the topic is the fucking snowman not the royalties problems include: Child labor, foreign outsourcing (the electronic part),and avoiding of royalties. (not even vanilla ice gets money because they changed the lyrics and shorthened the song).
Why is it that Walmart gets pooped on, but Target or K-Mart gets off scott free?
