The DVD was better than the CD, and I was impressed with it (except for the lack of bonus material)

The biggest thing that Brian, Roger, and even Paul have been stressing for over a year is that Paul is NOT a replacement for Freddie. Do you see Paul singing in a leotard and prancing around? Clearly you are not much of a Queen fan if you haven't come across even one interview or statement from Brian, Roger, or Paul on this issue. They've made their point dozens of times.

Paul is not a replacement! Notice that he is doing some BC songs as well! He is not Queen, Brian and Roger are Queen, hence the Queen+. He is PR. If youve passed kindergarten math you should be able to come out with Queen+PR

So what you're saying is that Queen cover bands are actually "replacing" Queen by singing Freddie's songs, by playing Brian's guitar parts? Then you, sir, are an idiot.
I have recently been able to view the ROTC DVD in its entirety and I have to say I was very delighted. Not only were we able to see live performances of songs that otherwise had never been performed live by Queen, and not only were we able to see another facet of Queen through another frontman, but several other things added to my satisfaction.
For three aging musicians, I was quite blown away by the high-octane performances of Paul, Brian, and Roger. They still have it. This was also quite possibly one of the most professional performances I have seen, while preserving the powerful edge of rock and roll. It truly goes to show that there is no substitute for experience.
There were also many heartfelt occasions that you just wouldn't get anywhere else, at any other point and time but now. The performance of "Bohemian Rhapsody" I saw as a most perfect tribute to Freddie, and TATDOOL was a perfect reflection of Queen as it used to be. You can't find such emotion and reflection back when Queen was without a worry and at the top of their game. There is a time and place for everything, and one should always consider this.
Now, maybe the CD was a bit of an inferior product. It doesn't capture the aural presentation that Queen used to have. But one thing is certain - the visual representation of ROTC coupled with its musical magnificence is something extremely powerful and unique to the Queen franchise. It is worth every penny five times over.
We will never get to see Freddie perform live again, and we should never wish to. You will all agree upon the terrific legacy he left behind. Do not by any means view ROTC as a weak substitute for Freddie, but consider it a powerful new beginning, completely discrete QUEEN + PAUL ROGERS.

Well i must say, i liked to see the boys going on tour again! First I had my doubts on how Paul Rodgers would be....and of course it couldnt be the same without Freddie! So, when i finaly decidet to go on the concert, it was already sold out....=( But the DVD is Great! Paul has a great voice, though i wish Roger and Brian had sung more songs!...

What are those mysterious new songs Queen performed live on this tour? Surely you can't mean Roger's solo performance of Say It's Not True?
In fact TATDOOL, IWIA and TSMGO had more original Queen performances on the bloody solo tours!
