fat bottomed girls on jazz

i just got this album and never realised that the version of fat bottomed girls on gh1 is a single edit. Personally i prefer the gh1 version but that is because its the version ive been listening to for 10 years. But to me the added guitar parts just seem stuck on without needing them? wat you guys think and wat r other queen sigles which were edited for release?

That are all the ones I can think of right now :)

I never like edited versions for the radio, not with Queen songs or other songs from other bands.

I remember when the JAZZ album was released and being played on North American FM stations. Originally, Fat Bottomed Girls segued into Bicycle Race this was how itt was played on Radio.

I was lucky enough to see Queen on the Jazz tour in 1978. In the stage performance they also played the two songs linked together.

Even back then we fans were puzzled, but there was no explanation for it.

totally agree on that one...

For the best of both worlds, record the first 52 seconds of the GH version, then start at 1:30 of the LP for the rest. That way you end up the crashing finish, and get to skip the rather boring (IMO) early part.

Also...FBG was played in the latter half of the concerts, while BR was part of the early medley.
