Depending on the type of person you are, yeah. Jim's sights MIGHT have been set on the 'prize'. We'll never know for sure, but the fact that Freddie left the same to Jim as to his other 'friends' says a lot, don't you think? If they indeed loved each other so much, as husbands, then surely Freddie would have left him a lot more cash AND stability. I mean, the way I see it, leaving Garden Lodge to Mary was the same as telling Jim to pack his bags.

Personally, I think Freddie did love Jim, but I don't think he ever trusted him as fully as he trusted Mary. IMO - MARY was Freddie's soulmate. I read an interview - I wish I could remember where, maybe someone here knows - when Freddie said, "Yes it is very much a marriage. She (Mary) is the love of my life."

I agree. I remember reading Mercury and Me. I wanted to feel closer to Freddie but instead felt like things were written there that shouldn't have been. I noticed very little sensitivity toward Freddie. We all know he wasn't an angel, but most of us will admit that with love. There seemed to be more animosity than admiration in Jim's tone - at least to me.

Well, maybe. Dunno. I think the only problem with that love was as someone stated that Mary was not a man. I f she had been a man maybe they would have been a happy couple.
But I think Jim truly loved him and was not there for the money.

But anyways as far as Jim goes its obvious Freddie loved him very much and Jim loved him very much....as far as the money thing Jim didnt care about that part of Freddies life and it wasnt about that wit him and Jim was also a very independant person so maybe Freddie didnt leave him much as a wish to him.Also if u read the book u also kno Jim gave Freddie a wedding ring that Freddie wouldnt take off even at the end and if u see the later pics of Freddie u can see it on his finger.As far as the Mary thing i think ppl r havin a hard time dealin wit the fact that Freddie prefered men and they wanna stick up for her but if u read some of Marys interviews they broke up becuz Freddie told her he was gay and as the years went on they remained close friends yes but at the end Freddie referred to Jim as his 'husband' and Freddie had also told Jim that he and Mary were seen together alot cuz of the media and he wanted to keep Jim out of the spotlight for his privacy and so he didnt get any backlash from people.But that about sums up my post whether u choose to accept it is up to u but most ppl read between the lines.
