Top 50 Queen Songs

I've been running a type of "Hot or Not" vote on my site over the past year - where by 1 of 2 random songs can be voted on by website visitors...

The results for 2005 are available at

I am thinking of extending this for 2006 - and may place a choose your top 5 or top 10 songs page on the site.... what would you think of that idea ?

I think a list would be best - the Hot or Not is too random !

some of those are not Queen-only songs.

Just a reply to the previous post - yes, the song list runs off the same database, i.e. Queen, Queen+, Brian May (solo), Roger Taylor (solo), Freddie Mercury (solo) discography database.

I can't believe Pain/Pleasure is there. That's a real puzzle

Delilah was at #187 out of 200
Don't Loose Your Head was #62 out of 200

Your site looks good to my eyes, but your polling methods seem suspect to me.

SMGO #19? no MotBQ in top 50? etc.

A few years ago, Eggy and I did a primitive e-mail poll where every song was rated relative to all the other songs, and 30 people participated (over 5000 song votes total).

The poll can be accessed on my mini-web page. Obviously, it is not as viewer friendly or sophisticated as yours. If you take a look, experiment with zoom magnification for best viewing.

Yeah looks funny since a lot of the songs voted beat a lot of the rest. (Don't Lose Your Head), (Forever), etc

shane i dont know if you have hered about the crackdown on tabs which i think is absolutely ridiculous but i would remove them tabs for a while if i was you.
just a word of warning as they want to bring a jail sentence into order which again is ridiculous. anway, just letting you know.

Yeah, I've heard about this. I mailed Brian about this (probably won't get a reply) - he had an article on his website about this, its ridiculous !

I am very seriously thinking about removing these from the site.
Even though I didn't copy the tabs from any source, they were all worked out from the song - I understand the lyrics are in question also as these cannot be reproduced !
