First show to be cancelled will be.....

ok as most of you know the shows in the big cities are selling well while the boondock shows are strugling.lets predict the first show to bite the dust because of "schedule conflicts"(no ticket sales).here is my guess..

top 5 reasons it will cancel

5-crowd though it was Mr Rogers from the tv show
4-avg ticket price more then per capita income of minnesota
3-big ice fishing tourney that night
2-folks mad that Queen "lip Syncs"middle part of BoRhap"

amd the number one reason this show will sell less then 1000 seats and be cancelled is...

locals protesting their outrage of the IWTBF video!

I thought the tour was going to sell out? ;-)

Great Positive attitude--and I take offense to the Boondock reference.

On a serious note.....

Pittsburgh: with Philly, Cleveland, and DC dates so close, as well as Detroit and Chicago, well....

Buffalo: they'll get those from Canada who want to see a show after the Toronto gig, and some from upper NY, but....

Jacksonville: unless IE rounds up a few thousand;-)

St. Paul/ Minneapolis: Are you kidding? They've got the university, no other Q+PR's in the nearby area other than the long haul to the Windy City...this will go over big. Even Tom O has a handful of tickets, and is biting at the bit.

Not trying to be negative, just offering a somewhat educated opinion.

I doubt any shows will be cancelled. Obviously they are not going to sell out but they are not going to be cancelled.

Agreed about the Boondock thing, QC, but he might be onto something with the conflicting ice fishing tourney ... ;)

Where are people getting data on tickets sold/not sold? Is this factual data or speculation?

And more importantly, how many can participate in the ice fishing tourney, and can one drive one's tricked-out fishwagon directly onto the ice and hope to not become amphibious, or worse?

the info is from ticketmaster--you can log on thru links at QOL and see what seats are available.Yes Pieter I hoped for all sell outs but i must say some of these cities will hurt our chances.

The tour was never going to sell out. The fact that they have not toured here in 23 years along with the fact that Freddie is not here anymore really hurts them.

I still think that most venues will be 1/2 - 3/4 full.

Jacksonville now has better seats available than it did 1 week ago. It's impossible to tell how many tickets have been sold by looking at ticketmaster.

There's still plenty of time to get out the heavy promotion, there really hasn't been any to speak of just yet.

If they even bother to get the word out, appear on some US TV programs, tickets will sell much better I think.

I think it's very possible that some shows will get canncelled..but not for "lack of interest", i.e.-not enought tickets sold. The REAL culprit will be THE WEATHER at this time of year.

We are talking about shows happening in early March and in the Midwest and East Coast cities that can mean SNOW and lots of it. I would not be surprised if a couple of shows are in jeapordy becuase of bad weather conditions. Remember Brian's first solo tour here in 93'? Several shows were cancelled due to the snow storm we had and this happend right around the same dates: early March!

I just hope it does'nt happen...but in my mind i'm keeping an eye on the situation as it gets closer to the shows.
