I have a concert from Birmingham 1984 but I am confused now as to which one it is. It contains the small problem in Love of My Life where Freddie makes an error and just the audience sing. Can anybody confirm which date this is from?

September 2nd, perhaps.
Thats what I was now lead to believe.

It's indeed September 2nd. Nice show, one of the best audience bootlegs of Queen. A must have!
John: "It's the one thing I wish I could do - sing."
Does anybody know what actually happened?

Would be great if there was a video ;)

Yes WalterB, it was most definatly 2nd sept, I attended that concert, Right up at the front (one thing for the Queen Fan Club in those days, they got you the Best Seats, for fan club members) but not my voice saying "We love you fred etc" those guys were just to the left of me.
What happend was, Brian was ready, the fans were ready, but freddie was not. The song sort of started with the fans etc, but freddie stopped it & passed the mike to the guys at the front center of the stage. Once he got the mike back, they started it again.
It was a great Gig, One of my fondest queen gigs that I attended, as I was so close to the front, before this gig, the only other Queen gig up till then I attended was Leeds united football ground 1982 & I was in one of the stands, quite far away from the stage.
I quite like to here cock ups, on live gigs as it adds a bit of unique-ness to each show, as each tour has "basicly" the same set list each night.
Joyful the sound
Thanks for the story, A Word In Your Ear!
Thank you for sharing that story with us A Word In Your Ear! My first Queenconcert was Leiden 25/04/1982, but unfortunately I cannot remember much from that day. One thing that I can recall is that Freddie forgot to put on his giant sombrero before WWRY. Only after a couple of seconds he ran back and put it on (I hope my memory serves me well here...)
