I never knew he had a goatee.
My terminology was way off it's more of a beard, I'm the dunce for today. http://www.queenzone.com/queenzone/mp3.aspx?Q=10405

i love the moustache! without is ok, but the beard thing was just, well i dunno, it just didn't suit him. that's my opinion anyway.
I reckon he was better bearded, it covered up the fact he had a huge jaw and cheekbones a little better. It was just a good look for him.

It suited him only with short hair (which was the only time he ever had it, obviously). If he had had it with long hair, it would have ruined the look. I think losing the moustache later in the 80s was not such a good idea.
My favourite two Freddie looks are:
Precisely as he was on the cover of Queen II
and
Precisely as he was at Live Aid.
So, really, it depends on his hair.
Yeah I agree
[QUOTENAME]magicalfreddiemercury wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Oh, with with with!!! Definitely. It's more than just a hairy lip, it's like he grew up when he grew his mustache. He oozed confidence. He was always sexy but IMO, more so when he grew comfortable with himself. I think his mustache was the most vivid sign of his new comfort.
Oh, so sexy. <sigh>
I totally agree, dear. Freddie was quite sexy, indeed;)
