At our wrestling meet on saturday Jan. 7, 2006, it started normally with people asking me the obviously stupid question of whether I was listening to Queen.
Then, I told them that they were coming to Milwaukee on March 27th. I got back, "I thought he was dead."
So I told them how they got Paul Rogers of Bad Company as their singer and I was AMAZED at what I heard.
"I would like to hear that."
"Oh wow, he is good. Do you have any extra tickets?"
"Where can I get tickets?"
So, being a good friend, I put Return Of The Champions into the stereo and I got an entire locker room of people who formerly thought of Queen as 4 fags, rocking out to their music.
So, anybody who believes that Paul is hurting the band should piss off because this is proof that he is helping.

I've heard nothing but good things about Paul Rodgers from people who have met him. They have described him as gracious and humble.
As a musician myself I think it is fantastic that Brian & Roger have found someone with whom they are interested in performing.

Q+PR: shutting up the closed-minded since 2005 :-)
Please, remember that these are typical Americans who think Queen is four fags.
hey I'm american and I don't care if they are fags. As long as the music is good. I could care less of the Chemistry Sexually. As long as the Chemistry Musically is there.
This is also not just related to queen, look at groups like Judas Priest. Halford rocks with Judas Priest outside Priest he's just another singer..nothing too special. It's the magic of chemistry that band's musical talents that make certain become supergroups.
It was pretty much up until Freddie grew the mustache normal people in the states figured he was gay. Plus it really doesn't help that the band is named QUEEN. I remember myself in 7th grade I got beat up becuase I was wearing a Queen T-shirt and got expelled for 3 days. LOL that didn't matter the next day I went to my first Queen concert and got right up to the stage. Well worth the beatin I took.

Im trying to make the point that Paul converted about 13 people who previously knew only 4 of Queen's songs (BohRap, ANOBTD, WWRY &WATC)
Yesterday, I was greeted with a chorus of Fat Bottomed Girls in the locker room.

I hate to tell you this, dude, but Queen is a gay band. I'm not saying that they don't rock, but at the end of the day, they were very, very gay. "Bohemian Rhapsody" is very campy and gay. "Killer Queen" is very campy and gay. "Flash Gordon" was a very campy and gay movie. The way Freddie had them dressed was also very gay. Finally, fact that they were called "Queen" should be a definite giveaway that Queen was a very gay band.

I wouldn't say that... I don't know anyone who think Queen are four fags around here. A lot of them like Queen in fact.

Ok, to those of you who think Queen was a 'gay' band, need to think again. Each of the members of the band were/are married to WOMEN, and in all cases have children. SO in saying this, yes, there were certain songs that Freddie wrote that could have been interpreted in the 'gay' way, but who cares?? You could also look at alot of those songs in a straight way as well. The music rocked, still rocks, and will always rock...fuck whatever the critics say!! And yes, I stick up for the decision they made to tour with Paul Rodgers...he is a very talented singer, who is NOT trying to take Freddie's place...there have been many threads and posts, and even interviews with the members of the group. If they were trying to replace Freddie, wouldn't they just call themselves as just Queen, instead of Q+PR?? A little common sense here, please!!
Yes must get back to subject
Paul really sounds better than he ever did this tour with queen. I'm not surpised Paul Rodgers fans are becoming queen fans Roger and Brian are sounding great too clean and crisp. I been to a few older groups in the past year and I find some of them don't sound that great live anymore. Haven't seen Queen + Paul yet but all the boots and the dvd and the live cd Paul and Queen sound great together.

Maybe in the high school wrestling circle, but knowledgable American music fans (with pubic hair) are well aware of who Queen was/is.
