The site above is actually a fake story promoting a new Charlie Murphy movie called The Chappelle Theory. It talks about how Bill Cosby & Oprah put pressure on Dave to stop his show.

That is hilarious!
I feel bad for Dave, but the man has to get his act straight.
I thought it was quite ironic how Dave Chappelle became incredibly famous for making fun of a "has been" celebrity like Rick James, and now it seems like Dave is following that same path.
I'm Dave Chappelle, bitch!!

Am I the only one who suspects this Chappelle-burnout-thing all being planned? I mean, Dave Chappelle was getting way over-exposed and worn-out in the media due to his fame. People would have grown tired of him with such exposure.
The smart move would have been to take a break, make people somewhat miss him instead of growing sick and tired of seeing/hearing him everywhere. And that's what has happened...
Not to mention when Dave's writers (Brennan, Murphy) are doing the above (funny as hell) Chappelle-theory site etc, which only strengthens my beliefs of a publicity stunt of a major scale. Hey, everything is possible. It just seems a bit too convenient.

Bullshit? Charming words, now please learn to comprehend simple sentences. Did I somewhere state that Chappelle was not popular? or not watched? He was getting too much exposure in the media (check your dictionary) due to peaking in popularity. Making a move out of the lime-light would have been smart, before people grew tired. And that's what happened. And by the looks of it, it all seems like a perfect publicity stunt for a comeback of somesort.

He will come back. He is just trying to get better publicity by going back to his "motherland"
But I do have to admit that I chuckle at the memory of "I'm Rick James, bitch."

My english is fine thank you. I dont know where you get the notion that he was gettin over exposed - only thing that was slightly over-exposed was his "im Rick James bitch" line.
