Let's start with ....
Seaside Rendezvous.
Q+PR is a great rock show and Paul is a powerful rock singer while Freddie was much more theatrical. Go back and listen to your albums and name the songs that Paul Rodgers simply could not pull off. Think about tone, range, and emotion.

They wouldn't play that at a show even if Freddie was still with them. I don't think I've ever seen a setlist with that one included at all.
There were certain songs (such as Seaside Rendezvous) that Freddie could probably knock out without a hitch, but that would have been it for the night. Songs where he had to go so high probably took a toll on his voice, and for him to do a 2 hr show that wouldn't have been possible.
You take my breath away
Melancholy Blues
Cool Cat
pain is so close to pleasure
Scandal
Bijou
Don't try so hard

Quite a lot, actually... Paul is indeed just suitable for the rockier Queen Songs...

I agree with u guys there's alot of Queen songs that paul would not be able to sing. I would have prefered to see Gary Cherone front the band as he can sing the hard rock songs aswell as softer ballad type songs, plus he has a strong stage presence, example (Freddie tribute Concert)
i just can't believe they never asked him to do it, or even George Michael would have been great to see aswell, if they tour Australia i'll still go because i love Queen.

Yeah gary Cherone has a nice stage presance. too bad he's not always in tune.
Gary Cherone? After his flame-out with Van Halen, that would have been a sheer disaster...
Have you not heard ANYTHING that Q+PR has recorded for the show? I find it very difficult to believe that they could have chosen a BETTER singer. Paul is as perfect of a fit as can be.

Very True.
Very True.
I also don't think he could sing KQ or DOTL.
Well Fred could barely sing KQ live by '84.
