Technically, they also covered themselves on two South American dates, but indeed it's an impressive list. I really would like to hear the ..Japan album. They even played the extended solo's as found on the live album!

Let me know when you do find a link!
It's not allowed by the band to share this show, since it will be officially released, but I'm really looking forward to hear some audience recordings already!
You go to a show hoping to see songs from that band, and then they perform only other peoples songs. what a ripoff

No mate- everybody knows how it works- when they play two shows in one city the other part of the second show is a cover album. Rip off? They play 3 hours every night. When I saw them in Hammersmith last year they played two nights in row. Firts one- 3 hours of their material. Second night- 2 hours of their own material and they repeated only ONE SONG. And after that they added DARK SIDE OF THE MOON. That's how it works every time. Rip off? C'mon man!!!!! That's the best value for money (30 pounds each gig) I have ever seen!!!!
And you should hear them playing any of those albums- it's SOMETHING to be at a night like that, I can tell you...

Actually, the band (Mike Portnoy) even checks what they've been playing the previous times in the city they are performing in that night, and try to avoid songs they've already played. So it's the opposite to being a rip off. And indeed, Dream Theater announces the nights where they are covering whole albums.

Now Queen, 1986, that's a rip-off. Every night the same songs in the same order. Could it be more boring? I think not.

And there you go- on 16th of January they covered themselves again and played entire OCTAVARIUM, back to back. Nice! It's only few times (twice?) they actually played THE ANSWER LIES WITHIN.

If the Magic Tour was boring, what can we say about the Q + PR tour?

Dream Theater are the best live band in the world right now - hands down.

Can't wait until March 22... Massey Hall in Toronto, which will be almost two years to the day when I met the band backstage. A night I'll never forget.
