Ok.... I recently made a descision to only post here if I really wanted to know a piece of information, so here goes:
Did anyone else know that Metallica had a remake of Stone cold Crazy? I recently heard it on my brother's laptop and I think the remake isn't too bad.

It was the B side to Enter Sandman, so yes, we knew.
Also released on Live Shit box set (twice), a best of Elektra album, and probably Garage Days Revisited 2.

And they played it live LOTS of times since 1988
The easiest place to get it (other than downloading, which Lars Ulrich will personally sue you for) is on the band's covers album Garage Inc.
I think it's a pretty good version except they've tried to look "cool" and "hard" by changing "rubber tomy water gun" to "fully loaded tommy gun" and squeezing two instances of the word "fucking" into the lyrics. I'm not against swearing by any means, but changing the lyrics to put it in a song that didn't originally have it, just to look hard and "metal", seems like 13 year old mentality to me...
Didn't Metallica frontman James Hetfield do this song at the FM tribute concert as well?

A grammy? What I don't understand is why Queen didn't get one for the original, infact, I can think of quite a fews (lot's rather) times where Queen should have got a grammy for their songs, but didn't. And for the record, yes I did know metallica did a cover of stone cold crazy, but I am yet to hear it so I can't give my oppionon, at to which I'm sure a lot of you now breath a sigh of relief.
And it was James Hetfield who sang STC at the FMTC in 1992, with Queen

Stone Cold Crazy was never released as a single, so they couldnt of won a grammy for it anyways. The one single they should have won a gramy for should had been Another One Bites the Dust because it was huge all over America and Queen were the biggest act in the world during the period
