Bobby: To be honest, Violetta’s and Germont’s ‘Dite alla giovine’ from ‘La Traviata’ are alien to me, simply because I am not an opera buff.
(However, I think part of ‘La Traviata’ was used as the intro to 'It's A Hard Life' - but I may be wrong there).
What I need to do now is find a copy of the referenced tracks, and hold them against the reel-to-reel versions. If they match they are the same. If not, then they are not.
I am sorry to be so vague, but unless I compare the one against the other, I can not reply with any assurity.
However, I will work on this straight away - and if anyone was able to send me samples of ‘Dite alla giovine’ - it could be sooner than later.
