I love the song. I've never seen the video but I really love the song.
the video has a selection of mini clips showing freddie's life its very moving, right at the end of it we see the 'I still love you' bit from these are the days of our lives ;_;
i like the song..but about the vocal i always thought that it was not that powerfull..voice seems to be very squeezy
Totally agreed! Freddie takes an ok song and makes it extraordinary. A song that might be completely ruined by some`Broadway singer using too much vibrato is instead beautiful with Mr. Mercury on vocals. My favorite`line: "How can I try" at the very end when he hits that really high note on the word "CAN". Wow, what a singer!

I love the song, and I love the way he sings it. I always rank it infintessimally higher than "Made in Heaven" - which to me, has its "squeezy" places.
But keep in mind that singing is also *acting* - and it's okay to sacrifice beautiful tone periodically for the drama. I singer must convey the emotion of the lyrics. That's what I get from "In My Defence."

Its definately one of my favs too! I try and sing along to it but i cant :( Such a great voice on it. It pushes his voice to the full and just shows how capable he was with it! - WONDERFULL!!!!
