What kind of procession did bri refer to?
A religious one?
Or something looking like a parade?
I thought processions were just in catholic countries (that is, something rather odd in UK)

You think the word Procession is uniquely catholic???
Odd.
Odd.
That's exactly why I asked. And somebody could even answer something illuminating.

Its the procession of an army in which a father goes off to battle against the Black army of Rhye, leaving a note to his son.
Where oh where is that website explaining the concept of Queen II?!

Now it comes to me that it could be a procession for a queen to be crowned, considering how much Queen II is cramped with queens.
Good idea, looking up the dictionary and leaving you queenzoners in peace, if it wasn't for the fact that a dictionary won't ever tell you what a guy called brian may meant with that title.

I don't think it is supposed to have any religious overtones. I think Brian just wrote the music, and thought it sounded like a Procession, so that was what he named it.
From what he writes on his website, I think he's not religious, but quite spiritual.

I suspected that too...but because of my cultural backgroud the word procession made me immediately think about something religious (which was a bit depressing). But the father leaving to make war was lovely.
Theres only two Queens - the Black Queen and the White Queen, leaders of the two armies battling in the world of Rhye.
Damn it, why can I not find that website!

Davie: Do not place so much faith in that interpretation - it is only the speculative view of some fan after all.
I for one hold different views - but I do not present those as gospel.
My only concern is that such views can be interpreted as both accurate and official - and this makes people lazy - as they then become too reliant on what others think - rather than using their own God-given reasoning.

If you wanted to know what Brian May meant, why ask people who aren't him?
