You're Wierd.....
yep i think he must, because i havnt seen it and dont want to, i mean i dont like johnny depp and everyone knows sequels or remakes nearly 99% suck all the time, i did notice the fatter kid in there was wearing one of them tops roger wore at wembley 86, just different colour
For those who have not seen the movie, for whatever reason....
You are missing a great one.
You are missing a great one.
The original was the best !
The orignal was best but this is a great movie in it's own right i agree the songs suck and Depp Protrays wonka to be a bit Simple instead of a geninus but it's a closer adaptation to the book than the original. It was only when i watched it at home the second time that i thought wow this is a great movie just dont try to compare the two of them or you wont see it for what it is...brilliantly written and produced. It also had most of the Dahl Kids involved which must give it some credibility if they give it there thumbs up.
Bad movies are the ones that should be re-made.
I agree, the new one sucks. Is this the beginning of the end for Donnie Brasco? I'll bet ya Pirates 2 sucks too!
the original was A LOT better then new one sucks, i only like laughing at how great of an act Johnny Depp can but on in this movie copared to the others, he's very talented.
"New"????
the original is fantastic the remake is just a bad effort.
Okay, history lesson for some of you that may have missed it.
The 1970's movie, Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory is a loose adaptation of the book by Roald Dahl, called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
The 2005 movie, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory is a very close adaptation of the book, meaning that most of the storyline (including the Oompa-Loompa songs) is almost completely similar to the storyline. The parts about Wonka's father and such, though, were made up, I believe.
So, of course it is not an exact remake of the classic movie (starring Gene Wilder, one hell of an actor), but instead stays true to the book.

The so called remake is a very, very close interpretation of the book. Even the songs are direct from the book.
The Gene Wilder one was a based on the book, though loosely.
