NECA says on their website that the images had to be removed because, first off, they were not approved to be there in the first place, and the figure was not 'presented correctly'.

Availability might be an issue indeed. Apparently there weren't that many John Lennons made. (I read around 200 somwhere, but that sounds very few)On line sellers and specialty shops should be your best bets (like Forbidden Planet in the US/UK or Album in France).

A smaller figure produced in higher numbers might be better for all of us (I'd hate to see Freddie's first action figure go the scalper/ebay way).

Sorry about the pictures being removed, but "well presented" or not, the fig seemed mighty fine to me !

I saw it yesterday at a toy fair in London, it is indeed pretty good, I may get one for my desk! but the dalek may just win over Fred on this one!
