I think its ashame that Queen never got more respect in the US. But the US has always been a flavor of the week kind of country in respect to most music. If it doesnt sound like the hit record you made before you're out the door. (<--I disagree with this). Or if it sounds too much like the record you had before, again, your ass is at the curb. (<-- That i do agree with, you cant get stuck in the same sounding stuff, its a drag after awhile).
And the US has always been somewhat homophobic and fearful to such things as IWTBF etc. And NO THEY DIDNT GET IT (BUT I DO!!). Which is terrible because if you make great music and have fun doing it, who cares. But the critics were too busy watching asses and boobs in rap videos. They were blindsighted.
And i dont like the fact that someone else is telling me that i dont get the IWBF vid. In fact thats one of my fave vids, as im a huge fan of Coronation Street and Eastenders.
And yes, i live in the US.
In fact, i enjoy more BBC shows than I do US shows. And thats difficult considering i can only watch BBC shows on PBS and CKWS ( a Canadian Broadcasting station) only like once a week.
And im glad they're coming back to the US.
Especially for us younger generation fans. I was two when Freddie died, when was i ever going to see them live?
