EC qualifying draw (footie)

Interesting... especially for me.

Romania - The Netherlands again ;) I'm afraid we're going to kick their asses again, Sonia :P Also Bulgaria and Slovenia in that group.

group A: Portugal, Poland, Serbia, Belgium, Finland, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan

group B: France, Italy, Ukraine, Scotland, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Lithuania

group c: Greece, Turkey, Norway, Bosnia, Hungary, Malta, Moldavo

group D: Czech Rep., Germany, Slovakia, Ireland, Wales, Cyprus, San Marino

group E: England, Croatia, Russia, Israel, Andorra, Estonia, Macedonia

group F: Sweden, Spain, Denmark, Iceland, Lavia, Liechtenstein, Nothern Ireland

group G: The Netherlands, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Albania, Belarus, Luxembourg

It's tough for POLAND this time... Serbia is really good, Portugal... Even Belgium can put out a good performance... Tough group, IMO... There will be many draws...

I think we (Holland) may be happy with this draw. There are some very strong groups indeed. Not only group A, although that's the heaviest one I think.

But what about group B (France, Italy, Ukraine), group E (England, Croatia, Russia) and F (Sweden, Spain, Denmark)?

France and Italy in the same group?

B is interesting I must say- Ukraine may be a tough one for those two...

I guess the best the Scots can hope for is a home win and an away draw against the Faroe Islands to ensure that they dont come bottom of their group.

I was just thinking that too. Why is it that we Scots always end up in the toughest groups?

I'm no England fan but they were seeded...unlike Republic Of Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland...therefore they were likely to avoid the big guns.
