You're right Barry, but sure you have to agree that the atmosphere in here has become a LOT different (and lot less jolly) as it was in around 2000/2001.
But that's understandale. Five years ago everybody knew everybody in here. We understood eachother.
Mainly the announcement of the tour has brought in a totally new population. And yes, that's when the downfall started. More trolls, more useless topics, more disagreements, more fights... But again: that's understandable. Any community that grows like QZ did in the past year will finds it's collisions, simply because there are so many people.
The tour-announcement is one, but adding the 'sharing the music'-uploading section caused quite some fights as well.
Yes it is great that stuff is being shared in here. Of course. But it also caused most fights and arguments.

Also getting tired of this board. As Barry said- there are great things! 1984 recording, Houston video- and few really, REALLY amazing discussions (Silver Salmon recently springs to mind) but to find those you have to find your way through endless pile of garbage... Like all those Q+PR bashing threads... And I have less and less time during work to spend on the internet... and I don't have time to go through this shite to read few sensible and great posts every now and than...

If everyone who is able to post something interesting will say "I don't have time to go through this shite to read few sensible and great posts every now and than" - we will have what we have now. If old QZers will be hiding away from QZ like a lot of them did (where's P_G? where's Saturn?) - we will have what we have now.
Take a look how many threads during last year were written by old QZers - seems like only Mr Stuart still starts topics here while other guys post replies or complains about how bad is QZ now (including me). You can change that, but you don't it, so don't blame no-one. As well as people replies to BPP topics and we can't blame BPP for this, it's not his fault. Who can change or get back QZ to old good times except QZers?!
