I've always wondered and it might have been discussed here before but....Is the instrument at the beginning of "Father To Son" not a synth? If not, what is it?
"You Can Be Anything You Want To Be"
It is.
John: "It's the one thing I wish I could do - sing."
I'm talking about the descending arpeggio that starts the song. There's no way it is a guitar.

The Deaky Amp, Red Special, genius of Brian May, there's also piano in Father To Son.

It IS a guitar, probably with the Deaky Amp. That makes the sound of Queen unique.

Lexicon MPX-1, I believe.
Ravenetta by 'voice' do you mean Freddie's vocal line in general or a specific section or backing vocal? Not that I'll probably know, just curious to which part you're referring.
Freddie opened his mouth and sang in that voice, I think. Stop me if I'm getting too technical.
This can't end well.
