It's beautiful...I love it

It is extremely different, hardly such songs are made now...
Yes Great song should of been no.1.
Brian's Guitar sound at the end solo sounds terrific and harmonicy, I think he may have been using the Foxx Phaser for it? and perhaps rolled back on the Guitar volume knob.
What is the BBC version?
was Spread Your Wings ever on TOTPs?

One of my all time favorites. Definitely John's best. So melodic and enjoyable. This song alone is why I want to see a 79 concert released on DVD.
Sorry to disagree, but I don't love this song. I like it a lot, I never skip it, but Deaky did a lot better, IMO. He did worse as well, of course.
Actually listening to this song now, from LK.
I like it too, but for some reason I always liked Deacon's "Misfire" better. Probably because the summer I bought SHA (1978) was a great time in my life...therefore that album will always hold a special place in my heart.
Yes I like this song; it's very John but with a nice heavy undercurrent and a nice acoustic bit too. The lyrics are quite inspiring too. I think it works better live and I agree that a '79 concert release would be great- I felt Queen were at the peak of their powers as a large indoor arena act then (though they conquered stadia in th eighties). On live Killers I find it funny when fred changes the key on the get yourself together bit.
Yeah, is a very beautiful song!
This is a real classic - one of my favourites!
Really grrreat song!!! A personal favorite specially from Live Killers!
