jury duty sucks!

I got picked to serve this week, and I have been bored outta my mind. The 4 year old magazines, tv with rabbit ears, and very uncomfortable chairs are driving me nuts. I almost hope I get picked to actually BE on a jury tomorrow. That might be half-way entertaining..:-P

Just start twitching uncontrollably. Otherwise, you'll earn $6 a day!!!
My condolences, Erin. My guess is that you will not be on a jury.

Lawyers like their jury members to be moldable and not be capable of thinking for themselves.

Hence, you will be set free tomorrow.

Ditto

You either have to vote for a GIANT DOUCHE or a TURD SANDWICH.

I learned that some South Park.

But anyways, thank you Erin, for helping your magnificent country.

Im 20 going to be 21 in march and i still havent registered to vote. Im never going to cause Im never going to vote. The popular vote doesnt count anyways.
Darling, Im not going to be a rockstar, Im going to be a LEGEND!!
um... no. The popular vote decides how the electoral college will vote.

That kind of thinking is what causes the voter turnouts in Iraq to be greater than in the United States (and many other developed countries).

If it is a mafia case, and Joey "the clown" Lombardo puts a hit on you & Pieter, please make sure that all your Queen tickets are properly forwarded to me.

Wasn't it Henry Fonda? Ol' juror number 8?

Jury duty must suck.

My parents have told me about their experiences.

My mum was on a jury, and she helped send this drunk to prison who ran over and killed someone in his vehicle. He's out now...and he's friends with my aunt and uncle (not on my mum's side of the family), so it's always quite an akward situation whenever we come across him. Which has only been maybe three times. On a lighter note, I don't think he can remember anything. :-P

And, now for my dad's story which is way more entertaining. My dad had a long commute to work when I was little. He would have to drive, take a train, and walk quite a bit every day...took him over two hours to get there, if I remember right. He had very important meetings the week he was on jury duty and really could not miss them. So, in the end, he pretended to be crazy or something like that and got out of duty. hehe

Apparently, they summon jurors not only based on voter registrations but by having a driver's license OR state ID..:-P

I was set free today and can't get summoned again for at least three years..YAY! I didn't even get to be on a jury after all that.
