I didn't get into Queen - I showed up at the bassist tryouts, but they said "what? you're still an egg, three years before fertilization!" Whatever, close-minded twats. I'm glad they went with Deaky though - I'd have had a hard time doing anything but cling to the wall of a uterus.

I've always been into Queen's hits, but I really started getting into Queen about four years ago.
I used to be a huge James Bond fan, and when I watched Live and Let Die for the first time I was like, omg that song is sweet, so I started listenting to more Paul Mccartney and Wings stuff, which eventually led me to listening to some beatles and beach boys stuff. After awhile though I got kind of bored with the beatles and beach boys so I asked my dad (who grew up in the era of classic rock) to introduce me to some more classic rock shit. So he introduced me to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Queen, and Pink Floyd. Out of those bands I really liked Pink Floyd the most and I really liked syncing Dark Side of the Moon with the Wizard of OZ. But than my dad played me March of the Black Queen, shortly after I listened to every other song Queen had to offer, and immediatley fell in love with them. At first I was more into there later shit, but at the same time I was getting into Led Zeppelin and that led to me listenting to more of there more early heavier stuff, thus making me what you people call a "Classic Queen Fan"

I was always fan as I grew up with classic rock,etc but I first heard 'I want it all' and 'Bohemian Rhapsody' when I was 2 and at the age of 15 again I saw a Queen pic,I remembered them somehow and finally found my brother's 'Made in Heaven' tape and ,of course,everything happened really fast...
my friend made me listen to their Greatest Hits on the way to Rhode Island. i also vaguely remember watching the Bo Rhap video when i was little (my sister was mad about MTV) and also the Wayne's World parody of them rocking out in the car.

holy cow! Is everybody here like 15 years old??? It's called vinyl records baby! I first got a liking for Queen when I heard BoRap on the "AM" dial around 75/76. I had a cat named Beelzebub and I thought it was cool that there was a song on the radio that said his name!
But Queen became my teenage obsession when after getting 2 copies of the same Elton John record for my 12th birthday, I exchanged the extra copy for Queen's latest album JAZZ. My next album after that was Live Killers. I was done for! By the spring of 1980, I'd collected all of Queen's albums to date and anxiously awaited the release of The Game. I saw Queen in concert in August 1982 - Toronto. Get this... $17!!!

I got into Queen because they had a unique sound on their recordings I thought and you just could'nt miss the sound of Freddies voice, 20 years later I am more a fan than ever and skint more than ever aswell buying everything that seems to be available aswell, well worth it though.
