I wondered maybe someone could make a mix of the original and George Michael's version. It might sound good it may not. Is it a good idea or do you think it would sound terrible?

Thanks
An idea.
It might be better to mix George Michael's one with a live one of Freddie, just so the sound is a bit similar... but I dunno.
Yeah, it might sound surprisingly good. Maybe the LATB version which I think is Freddie's best performance of 'Somebody to Love'.
I had the same thought a few weeks ago, and yes it would be very interesting to hear the both of them sing it together. Now if we could only get Aretha Franklin to sing it like Freddie wanted, THEN we would have an awesome duet on our hands!! There's a thought to ponder!!
Ain't Much I'm Asking...If You Want the Truth...
you won't be able to because the george michael version is in a different key to the original.
gmichael= g major
original= a flat major

that would sound awful!
But a live version could be compiled as Freddie also sang it in G, live. Whoever takes this up, just remember to match the sound of both.

Peace,
Adam.
Simply shifting Freddie's version down halfway, and George's version up halfway, would fix things. Perhaps.

I've been listening to both versions extensively and I've got to say the instrumentation is quite different. Different piano sound, and I've *always* hated the backup singers they enlisted at the Tribute Show.

I haven't had a shot at this yet, if I do I'll be sure to upload something (even if it's crap).
